Get ready for a (potentially) crazy week friends. The deadline for the DNI to report on foreign election interference, as required by President Trump’s 2018 EO, is this Friday, 12/18/20. For those of you unfamiliar with the EO:
“Not later than 45 days after the conclusion of a United States election, the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the heads of any other appropriate executive departments and agencies (agencies), shall conduct an assessment of any information indicating that a foreign government, or any person acting as an agent of or on behalf of a foreign government, has acted with the intent or purpose of interfering in that election.”
In short, it the US can freeze the assets of any foreign state or entity (tied to a foreign state) if it is shown there was election interference, spread of disinformation, fraud, etc. The implications this EO carries could change the world IF acted upon and would most likely require military intervention to enforce. I highly suggest you read it for yourself.
This is exciting and I pray it is utilized as intended, as it truly demonstrates the President knew what was coming in 2020 and prepared for it in 2018. However, the enemy will not go out without a fight. Expect the enemy to lash out and create chaos IF the EO is enforced. The President may have to use the military and the Insurrection Act. Be prepared! We will get through this and America will be better off as a result. Hold the line! Keep the faith!
